Our heart and goal for Awaken Academy is to support and empower families during the early and homeschooling years as a church community. Beyond academics, our desire is for families to walk in the joy of learning through creation, discovery, and collaboration while growing in Christ together. We are passionate about discipleship and the love for the household of faith. There is a unique opportunity to care for one other through the blessing and vulnerabilities of homeschooling. Parents (and grandparents) can expect to build relationships, work together to teach our kiddos, and be discipled on the education journey.
While the family is ultimately responsible for the chosen curriculum and education path for their children, Wednesdays we will provide an atmosphere for learning and tutoring through a “study hall” forum with stations and collaboration in assisting/tutoring. Play and fellowship is crucial for the learning and development of children, so you can expect ample time for creativity and relationships to be cultivated. Thursdays will be for off campus park/museums/field trips. These will be scheduled and planned as a team upon beginning of semester.
